The Capitol was the first bulding in the four colonies to speak for independence. Before this buliding was moved from Jamestown to Willamsburg after it was burned down three times! It was finneshed in May of 1699 in Jamestown.The first floor of the west building was for the General Court and the colony's secretary, the first floor of the east part of the building was for the House of Burgesses and its clerk. There where lots of meeeitng in the Capitol and they where the most improtant meetings. There where also very important trials in the Capitol.
